Basketball
The FFC Men’s Basketball Leagues are designed to provide the most competitive men’s league in the area. Based on FFC’s “Overwhelming Victory” concepts, the Legends league is composed of men age 40+ and are intended to provide friendly, competitive play. We play 4 on 4 to ensure quality playing time for all. Post-game huddles are mandatory. During this time of fellowship, each participant is introduced to the claims of Christ and is encouraged to share with each other how Christ is impacting their lives. For the Men’s leagues, there will be an open sign up, with each team being drafted afterward.
Volleyball
The First Friends Church (FFC) Fall Co-Ed Volleyball League is composed of men and women age 18 and over. It is intended to provide fun competition and fellowship in a warm and friendly environment based on FFC’s “Overwhelming Victory” concepts. This league has two divisions, Scarlet and Gray. Scarlet division is for intermediate – advanced players and Gray division is for beginner to intermediate players.
Baseball
The final level for the First Friends Baseball ministry is designed for boys ages 12-14 with a moderate to advanced knowledge and skill level of baseball. While we maintain the distinction of fun and skill development, this is our most competitive league. This league meets two weekdays and on Saturday every week. Players are now primarily playing one or two positions and there are no positional requirements. Teams still bat the entire roster and strive for comparable playing time. This is real baseball. All ages are eligible to pitch. We have lead-offs and stealing. All players must use regulation little league or high school bats. This league plays 7 inning games or 2 hours. There a season ending festival day that includes a tournament, food, fun, participation and league champion awards. This league follows the Championship Series Points (CSP) system that rewards points for wins and losses, memory verses, and weekly devotional times, where we take the time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ.
Softball
The Men’s Softball League is open to men in our community. This league will one division and teams will be drafted. It is designed to provide fun, fellowship, and competition in a friendly environment. Rosters are limited to the first 104 paid registrations. Registrations will be accepted until the league is filled or until the registration deadline. League runs April through July.
